Lovdahl, Ian Kaputt is my #3 best album of the 2010 decade. I grabbed Kaputt on CD from Best Buy when it came out and kept it in my equally-kaputt Camry for years. There's bittersweet memories packed in each track that I can't shake, it's just the nature of the beast; saturnine nocturnal melancholy that, in the face of heartwrenching failure, gives a sly grin and never misses a step. Favorite track: Blue Eyes.

jorpy Dan Bejar's homage to the 80s glistens with synths & brass and serves as a gateway to the laziest party I've never been to. Favorite track: Suicide Demo for Kara Walker.

Aversal I'm generally not a fan of pop music, but I really like this album. Something about the vibe it gives is very appealing... Favorite track: Suicide Demo for Kara Walker.

Josh Linnen Bejar's odd mid-career breakthrough. I absolutely love the sound of this record. Much has been written about its repurposing of dated sophistipop sounds, but the sound is still somehow strikingly modern, and the band is incredible here.

The beginning of Destroyer's new phase, and just a taste of what's to come later. Love it! Favorite track: Kaputt.
