Josh Linnen Possibly my favourite Destroyer record. Dan's poetry here is just tip top and the band plays these lush arrangements with big heart. Also it's impossible not to try my best Bejar impression when Dream Lover kicks in.

The mix of Kaputt's synthy sophistipop juxtaposed with almost-cheesy string/horn arrangements make for a very unique and savory listen. Favorite track: Dream Lover.

julian A peculiar ache seeps into every corner of this record, oozing with atmosphere and the bizarrely affecting charm of Dan Bejar's voice. Perfectly impressionistic music to match a woozy, surreal approach to lyric - even if your head can't keep up with Bejar's words, your heart will.
Ah shit, here comes the sun. Favorite track: The River.

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
